Our local chapter of Habitat for Humanity has reaached out in a request for volunteers, please find their time-sensitive message below:
Hello,
My name is David Morrison and I am the Volunteer Coordinator for Habitat for Humanity in Huron County. I am reaching out to you in hopes that you would share with your congregation our current need in Seaforth. We are in the final stages of completing our newest build, located on Sparling St.
As all things, Covid has disrupted our build schedule this year and we are working hard to have the home completed and the family moved in by October.
We are in the final stages, however we desperately need assistance in order to finish the house on time.
Our current Immediate need is people who would be willing to help paint the house. Trim, doors, walls, the entire interior of the house is ready to be painted.We are hoping to get the painting started on Tuesday Sept 15, and will likely be painting for 1 to 2 weeks, depending on the number of volunteers.
It would be greatly appreciated if you were able to share our need with your members, as well as my contact details if any of them are interested in helping us finish this new home.
